Family and Phantom Part 2

Family and Phantom

The summer is over and we are still trying to get a schedule down. Sweet Jessica goes to preschool three times a week and she loves it. She is meeting many new friends since this year she is at a different school. I love how close it is, 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive. J Jessica has learned how to “pump” she can get herself going on the swing now. She is wonderful.

Jessica’s take on preschool, “lately I am doing preschool, and doing everything else in preschool, and we like to do preschool playing, and we learn about everything, and do projects at the yellow table, and that’s it. Then I came back home from school, and that’s it, I’m done.”

Jack is so cute, sweet, and caring, but at the same time he might kick you or the door for no reason. He loves to snuggle and hold Evelyn. He is my little helper. I can always count on him to run and get a diaper (or 20.) He will give Evelyn her pacifier when she is sad (even if he smushes it into her mouth full force.) He shares his toys, he is so happy when she wakes up in the morning. He runs to greet her, climbs up her crib, leans into her face and intonates with squeals of delight, “good morning sunshine,” Oh I love that boy.

Evelyn is a rolling, smiling, newly rice cereal eating, big blue eyed sweetie. She is a very good natured baby. Not bragging just very very relieved. When I found out I was pregnant so soon with number three I cried. Should I have admitted that? Well it’s true. She has been such a fun addition to our family, even if my house is a wreck, and the thought of grocery shopping with my three kids makes me want to punch people. She is great, and I feel like I have really gotten to enjoy her baby stages without being too stressed out.

I will have to speak for Chris. He is happy to have football back in his life, work is busy, going Las Vegas in October to see a football game with his friends. He really misses Utah in the fall so I am glad he gets to go have his weekend.

I am doing mostly well. I wish was a little more disciplined. I am trying to workout but am struggling with the feeling of tired all the time. I am thinking about joining a group with a personal trainer and nutritionist at the club I go to. I wish I could do it on my own. It kind of makes me feel like a failure to have to pay someone to make me accountable. I am excited to take a small trip to Utah in November to hang out with my family.

Last night I got to go see The Phantom of the Opera with my Mom, Dad, Tom, Michelle, and Chris. It was my parents 42 times going. They go all over the country to see the show. I think they would go all over the world if my dad would do long flights. It was awesome. I love it more, the more I see it. Since my parents have gone so often and will only go if they have seats in the front they have made friends with the conductor. He was so gracious to take us on a tour after the show. Some interesting facts he told us about the set. That it’s their own stage that they bring with the production and set it up on top of the theaters stage. It has trap doors where the lights come out of the ground. The Chandelier weighs over a ton! Many theaters had to add reinforcements to accommodate the light safely. For the whole production it takes 25 semi trucks. It was so cool. We got to see a lot of the costumes. Everything is so organized such a well oiled machine. So fun. It was quite the night!
