I'm pregnant and IT'S A..........

Well, I had an ultrasound today, which Chris nearly missed due to bad directions from hospital information! All is well and he made it before major news was disclosed.

All looks well, everything looks on track for an April 19th due date. There is only one baby, it looks like an alien, two feet, two arms, one head, and........................................................................

NO BOY PARTS....... IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Today is my birthday but it started last night!

*Chris and I went to Charlies Crab in the old Packard Mansion. It was very very good! The menu's were printed up for me that said happy birthday Nancy.

*We went to the midnight release of Twilight, about what I expected.....some good some bad. A lot of people, it was insane. Way more than I thought there would be. They had eight theatre's full.

ACTUAL BIRTHDAY

*Chris let me sleep in. He packed, and took off for Utah. He is going to see the Utah/BYU game. Go Utes (BTW, I am the freakin' best wife in the world!)

* The kids and I went to the mall and indulged in some Godiva Chocolate! okay the kids didn't just me. :)

* We went home kids ate lunch and took naps!

*Took kids to parents, then off to the spa for a facial and hair cut. (Thanks Chris. He set this up himself and remembered the name of the girl who cuts my hair!)

*Went to parents and then out to dinner (really bad service = free dinner) I would rather good service.

*Michelle made me an awesome birthday cake!

*Home-kids in bed. Time for me to relax and read! I just started war and peace (so far so good!)

*HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME* Thank you everyone for a great day and the fun presents!

Happy Halloween

I am playing catch up with two new posts in a row. We had a great Halloween. The week was stressful with Dr. Visits, and a couple E.R. visit. All is well and we are happy last week is over! I had so much fun doing the costumes this year. Jessica was Dorothy, and Mr. Jack was a flying monkey. He was the perfect size do the character well. I made Jessica’s and some of Jack’s. I wasn’t intending on making Jack’s but I got an email that his costume wasn’t shipped when it said it was going to be. I needed the costume by Thursday, and I knew there would be no way to get it here in time. I bought a monkey costume (found in last store of four we searched.) I added the hat, vest, and wings. It all came together, and I am quite happy with the results. Here are the pictures.

Hocking Hills

A little late on the post… A few weeks ago my family (Parents, Tom, Michelle, Chris, Kids, and I) went to Hocking Hills in Ohio it is just south of Columbus. We had so much fun with the family. The kids were great, and Jessica hiked miles and miles like a champ. It is such a surprising gem that you would never think would be in Ohio. We had a great cabin that had many fun things to keep us entertained in the evening. Thank you mom, and dad for taking us. Here are some pictures of the weekend getaway.

Canadian Thanksgiving

No we aren't Canadians but we love us some! Thank you so much Oshawa Evans and Toronto Smiths for a great weekend. We had a really nice time, and Jessica was really sad to leave.

We went to china town and got these great jammies for Jessica. I will have to take some pictures of her in them. They are awesome. She loves going to preschool, it is so fun to see her grow up. One thing that drives me nuts is she never tells me about her day. She always says, “When we get home, after my nap, I don’t remember, umm later.” Sometimes I catch her doing things that her teacher would do. I have to say she does a dead on impression.

Jack is so happy to be in his own bed. I have been tempted to give him some Benadryl. He has been getting some molars and that translates to waking up a lot at night. Throwing food, crying, whining…… Man I love that kid but sometimes he tries to make it hard. Plus honestly he poops like no other. If I take the kids to the gym guarantee that they will come get me because he has pooped. It drives me nuts. My mom thinks it’s funny, “done in by poop!” IT’S NOT FUNNY. It really puts a damper on things because we have to do the whole separation thing again. Usually we just go home. He is not talking yet, and he gets really frustrated. He points a lot and grunts or screams. I thought about teaching a couple signs but I worry that the incentive to learn to express himself with words wouldn’t be as strong. Who knows??? Like I said I love this kid but man oh man. Chris is also out of town again and it is the end of the week so that makes things harder.

I just finished the book I was reading for book group. Any suggestions? I just want a great don’t want to put it down, lose myself in the book great read. That afterwards I miss it.

This week in pictures

Jessica put this little number together. So creative!

This is in the woods by Chris' brothers house. How awesome is this fort. I love this picture of Jessica. She was sitting on this big piece of modern art, and across from her was another with a man in it sketching. He took a break to watch us take a picture. Jessica was unsure of the audience.

Jessica enjoying a Toronto hot dog! It looks as big as her! On the way home from Toronto the sun was in Jack's eyes so I put one of his blankets in the window. Jack was like no I need to snuggle it! Even though he has a perfectly unattached blanket in his lap.

Apple Orchard, Mr. Mo, and life update.

I love this picture of Jack. I love the look of determination in his eyes, and the lip pushed up. He was all business while eating this apple.

We had a blast at the apple orchard twice this week! First on Saturday with some friends, and then with Grammy today! We had a lot of fun. On Saturday we did the festival stuff, and today we picked apples and fall raspberries. Jessica picked a whole pint of raspberries, and Jack almost ate a whole apple! It was such a good night. We love spending time with Grammy!

On a little bit of a sad note, I had to take our cat Gizmo or Mr. Mo to the vet today. All will be well he just has to get better. I noticed him making weird noises about a month ago which have turned into cries. Then he started to go out of his box (yuck!!!) Then on Monday I was scrubbing the kitchen floor, and I found blood. Poor cat! I took him in today, and they said he has a really bad bladder infection. They gave him a shot. The tough part is we have to give him medicine (pill form) twice a day. Not an easy task. I joke that I am not an animal lover, but it is sad that he has been in pain. I hope he feels better and that our other cat will stop hissing at him.

Chris is doing well. He is really busy with his job. He likes it most of the time so that is good. He is happy to fly to Utah for the Utah/ BYU game. I hope he gets to see Utah beat BYU like no other! I am glad he gets to go even though he is going to miss my birthday. L He works really hard and deserves the break. Chris you rock my face off. My kids rock too. Jack is so cute and fun. Jessica is a delight. She makes me laugh all the time, and she is so so sweet and generous with her brother Jack. She’s my bud!

Here are some pictures of the Orchard!

Update

Here is what we have been up to lately. Miss Jessica built a tower like no other, and she was so stinkin' proud of it.

Mr. Jack just being stinkin' cute.

Miss Jessica was so stinkin' excited for her first day of preschool. She had a lot of fun. She didn't even look back. It was like bye mom, and she was off. When I picked her up all she said was they wouldn't let her go down the slide. I can just see it, the group is trying to read a story or do a craft and Jessica is trying to go down the slide.

Miss Jessica and Mr. Jack being stinkin' creative. Jessica colored on herself and toys and dolls while she was suppose to be taking a nap....so for her punishment she got all her toys taken away till Friday. I packed everything up in her room (everything) and put it in the storage room in the basement. So since she doesn't have toys she has been coming up with some fun ways to entertain herself. Jack being the little brother has benefited from this. Miss Jessica knows now that you never color on anything but paper. Every time she asks for her toys I ask her where they are. She says, "they're in the basement because I colored on them, I'll never color on my toys again!"

When Chris is gone I can't sleep.

Chris is in Chicago again which translates to me staying up late. I’ll admit I like having the whole bed to myself, but I put off going to bed till I know I will fall right asleep. So in my sleep procrastination here are some pictures and a video.

We tried to go to the thing called Tons of Trucks. You had to register and we didn't. Jessica was really sad when they wouldn't let us in.

Mr. Jack Hanging out, waiting for some Oatmeal breakfast.

We like to listen to music while I make dinner. Well Jessica was really getting down so I thought I would record it...ps Jack was being a grump!
